Have you ever noticed that 'ANNOYING' squeak from the front end of your beloved Porsche? Especially when driving at low speeds, well Porsche Boxsters and the 996 are particularly renowned for this problem.

What causes it and how can it be cured?

Simply, your car has a pair of what are called an 'INNER TRACK CONTROL ARMS'. These are part of your cars suspension and are constantly on the move. These items perform a very important part of your cars safety whilst on the road. Over time, the original item becomes worn, this is noticed by that squeak or squeal and possibly less precise handling, as you know, that noise can be very irritating if not embarrassing!! If left, it will have an adverse effect on the cars road holding and increased tyre wear will definitely be noticed (as you know, a set of tyres on any Porsche is no cheap affair).

THE SOLUTION

The most common route for Porsche owners is to get the replacement arms supplied and fitted via an official Porsche main agent, this is a Main dealer part only and as such, this is not a cheap item to buy (currently a pair will be £460 inc vat @Porsche OPC prices), then you have the fitting cost on top which typically will be between £150-£250. There you have it, over £600 to cure!! Obviously we are more than happy to fit the factory standard item and will continue to do so, however, there is a better and cheaper alternative.

THE COST EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE

A typical 986 Boxster or 996 will cost only £280 +vat to supply and fit both new front arms. There you have it. A Performance Upgrade at less than HALF THE PRICE of a standard item and over time it will continue to save you money.
